What's happening this summer with the Albrechts

Summer officially started here at 11:45 on wednesday when the boys got out of school. I am hoping to keep everyone informed as to what everyone is doing this summer to keep active. I can start with the last 2 days. Thursday the boys basically had a free day and hung out. Friday Nick, Dustin and Kenzie came garage saleing with myself, Laurie(friend and coworker) and her daughter. we found some great items for the YMCA and few for ourselves. They then all came to the YMCA and we got the rooms ready for camp starting this monday.

After all that TJ came up and worked out and then the 3 boys went swimming. I then took them and dropped them off at a local diner. they had lunch together and then walked to the bowling alley. it was a great day.

Here is what you have to look forward to.
TJ is involved with scout camp and going on a trip to Utah for 6 days with his Mom. Yipee a trip away from all the little ones. We will be exploring BYU, Temple Square and taking a trip south to the 4 corners. If there is anyone in Utah that wants us to visit them let us know.
Nick is involved in 2 lacrosse camps, scout camp, outdoor camp thru the YMCA, and a camp at the military base with his dad. he is looking most forward to the lacrosse camps.
Dustin seems to be the busiest, i think when they are a little younger it may be easier, he has a swim camp, tennis program, a camp at the military base, lego robotics (did this during an afterschool program and loved it), Archery and an Outdoor camp that i run thru the YMCA.
Kenzie, well she gets to spend time with mom at work, no reason to mess her routine up. she also will be spending time with grandma.
Since Nick and Dustin are involved in lacrosse they have some saturday tournaments which we try to make a weekend trip with the family. so we go on friday and spend the night at a hotel and play, then saturday they play games all day and then we drive home.
the end of the summer we will be going to Outer Banks, NC with Laurie and her family and look forward to that. I will be sure to post many pictures.

Happy Birthday to TJ

i can not believe that i have a child who is turing 15 today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he has been a handful and a blessing. we are glad that he came into our lives first to help lead this family, especially when Robert is gone. I can't wait to go to Utah this summer with you, just TJ and mom spending 6 days together exploring the west. Have a great day today!!!!!!!!

Kenzie attempting to dress herself

Kenzie is trying to dress herself. she put the clothes off and on about 3 times before i finally took some pics. i do have a video but i am trying to remember how to load it. the pics will do to then.

Cleaning Day

So i snapped this picture after i had already taken off 3 of the burners but i thought you know it is finally time to break down and clean the stove. so here is what it looked like before and.....
here is what it looks like after. i am so glad i did it and boy does it look so much better. maybe this will give me the incentive to clean it as it gets dirty so i dont have to do it again like i did.

Backyard

ok i am going to try to explain the backyard to those of you who have not been here before. first of all the pool that you see we got 4 years ago and the kids were nice and small then, now they are large and have a hard time in it. but they still go in and wrestle just to cool off. behind the pool is a tarp hanging from our house. this is where we keep the bikes and other toys that we want to shelter from the rain since we have no garage or shed that is big enough. we also have a clotheslines that is near the lean to shed that i use quite a lot during the warm months, it also makes it nice to hang the suits and towels up. many days i will be in my house and the boys will run through naked cause they hang up there suits before they come in, heaven for bid they make a second trip outside to hang them up, haha. if you look closely to the left of the pics below you will see a chain link fence, that is our dogs kennel, the only thing we use it for is for her to go potty, she knows to go in there and go potty then she can run the yard. it has been great cause it condenses the area to clean to just there. she is not perfect, if we dont remind her she will go outside, as a matter of fact i went out yesterday and there were 2 spots like inches from the outside of the kennel where she had gone, like she just couldn't make it around the corner.

Our Backyard Fun

Dustin is standing up, to the right of him is our neighbor Brody, Nick is in front with his back to us and then to the left is our friend Ryan.
More pics of the boys playing, i think Ryan is under water trying to avoid being sprayed by the cold water hose.

Kenzie is trying to fix the ladderball game.

Round and Round

Yipee, i have learned how to put a video on the blog. The boys love telling kenzie, round and round, because then she turns for them. the dog also does not want to be left out so she is running around also. i hope you enjoy.

Playing with Dad

Robert was trying to get her to put her feet against his and roll the ball. She did the ball rolling but kept moving her feet.

Happenings

Dustin is playing baseball and Kenzie has discovered there is a hole in the fence and she can run through it. Nick is trying to keep her from getting through this time since they already had to stop the game becasue she got through it before Nick could get there.

Can you believe this was last night, June 2nd, it was only like 50 degrees here in Upstate NY, gotta love our weather. It was a little chilly to watch a baseball game.

Even though it was chilly and we had to wear sweatshirts, that doesn't keep Kenzie from having a slushie. This was her favorite place to sit, on the feet part of the bleachers.

Last week at the baseball game TJ and our neighbor Brody came with me to Dustin's game. Well as you can see they were at the game but i am not sure how much watching they did.

At the memorial day parade, which goes right in front of our house, Kenzie kept going next door to the neighbors and playing with their dog, Tiny Tim, so they finally just gave her the leash and let her walk him.

If you enlarge this pic, if it lets you, this is our front yard and the neighbors house is directly behind Kenzie, she is a little upset, ok maybe a lot upset, because i would not let her go over there anymore because it was getting very crowded on our sidewalk. Don't worry she eventually did stop crying, haha.
